Based in Owasso, Okla., Folds of Honor Foundation (FHF) was founded in 2007 as a legacy foundation with a mission to provide educational scholarships for children and spouses of military service men and women killed or disabled while serving our great country. Its vision is for every spouse and/or dependent to have the financial freedom and opportunity to pursue an education.
ACI’s public relations efforts provide an awareness for Folds of Honor and its mission through publicity on the local, regional and national levels. ACI positions Patriot Golf Day Weekend, held Labor Day Weekend at participating golf facilities nationwide, as the premier fundraiser supported by the golf industry. ACI also provides public relations strategy development and support for FHF’s major corporate supporters.
Through donated funds, Folds of Honor has awarded more than 2,600 educational scholarships since its inception. As awareness is raised about the foundation, Folds of Honor continues to grow, receiving a record amount of more than $3.6 million in contributions from Patriot Golf Day Weekend events in 2011. Since 2007, more than $12 million has been raised. Nearly 1,700 known media placements for Folds of Honor were recorded in 2011, with six live segments on FOX & Friends, including a segment with President George W.
